Update 7/27/08 ... Welcome home Harry, Mary and family... A bit slow at FOSTERS TOO this weekend but those there loved the band. Saturday over at FOSTERS PUB in Lake Park we had a great time. The band was rockin' and the crowd was diggin' it. A big thanks to Karina's friends who came out to support the band. We also want to thank guest 'vocalist' Rochele for coming up and having some fun with the band, we love you... This weekend a big thanks goes out to our good friend Augie Colon who filled in on bass while Harry was away on vacation. Augie did a tremendous job for us and didn't skip a note. This guy is a great bass player and plays a 7 string bass. Yeah, not a typo. I said a seven (7) string bass. Thanks Augie for a great job! Also thanks to the girl in the little school girl outfit and the little white socks (and black panties) for amusing me and the guys. Enough said about that. Next weekend we will be off learning some new material but return to CAGNEYS in Davie August 8th. and 9th. and Sunday the 10th. we will be out at CAFE 27 hoping for some good weather. Last week we had a great night at CAFE 27 on Thursday night. A great crowd and the weather held out for us. Friday night we were on the road up to Stuart and THE ASHLEY, and what a night it was! We want to thank all our family, friends and new fans who came out to party with us. Big thanks out to Kali and all her friends who had a great time with us Friday night and then came out again on Saturday night. We hope to see you all again sometime. As you can see in our new slideshow we all had a great time. Sunday afternoon we cancelled out at CAFE 27 due to weather. Sorry for those who came out to hear the band but they dont give us much protection out there from the weather and if we get rained out we dont get paid. The gig doesn't pay well anyway! Peace!! ..... jojogunn Update 5/12/08 ... Sorry I missed last weeks update but things have been really busy for me. The first Cafe 27 Thursday night Bike Night was a big success. We had a great crowd and the weather was great. Hopefully we will play one a month. Our return to The Ashley in Stuart was also a great time. We saw alot of familiar faces and had the crowd up dancing all night. We will return to The Ashley one weekend a month for the next several months. I want to thank all our good friends from Port St Lucie who came out to support the band and a big thanks to Val, Dave and family for having the band out to their home for a Saturday afternoon BBQ. Friday night was a bit slow at Fosters Too, but i think we made some new fans. As always we had a great time.... We are looking foward to next weekend off, but we will be in the studio this week to work on some new material... We kick off the month of May at Cafe 27 and we also return to The Ashley in Historic Downtown Stuart. As some of you may remember, The Ashley was our home away from home for a few years. We played there with Tony Fellows on lead guitar as a 4 piece band, and also with Brooke and Scotty G. I have some great memories of the Ashley and we are looking foward to returning. Friday nights gig at Bruce Rossmeyer was a big success. After not having bike night for a while they had a pretty good turn out. We had alot of great comments on the band and we hope to return soon. Ms. Mary took some good video and we hope to post some of it soon. We also had a chance to chat a bit with OMG from The Big 106 Morning Show with Paul and Young Ron. Saturday night we headed down to Key Largo to Gilberts Resort. We always have a great time there. I wish I can tell you about Karina and the 30 or so frat brothers from the University of Miami on spring break, but what happens in Key Largo stays in Key Largo! With the bad weather and being the night before Easter Sunday, the crowd was small but we always enjoy playing for our friends at Connollys. We return in May. This weekend we play out at Bruce Rossmeyers Harley (Sunrise Location) on Friday Night. Seems they are trying to start up Bike Night on Friday nights again. We were told they have had Karaoke on Saturday Night for the past 7 years and we were the first band to play a Saturday there. Well what a success it was. As usual Justa Head rocked the house. Well after receiving a few emails for updates I better get to it. I hope all our friends and family had a great holiday season. With the new year upon us, it looks to be a great year. The first weekend of the year we had a great time up in Port St Lucie. One of our favorite places to play, GOOD TIMES.. Always a great crowd and a great time. Friday night was one of the biggest crowds we have seen there and a big thanks to all our great friends for coming out to support the band. After a 1 hour rain delay we manage to pull off a great day of Rock n Roll. Thanks to all our friends who hung out with us. We will be back Labor Day weekend. This weekend we head up to Port St Lucie to Good Times. It looks like it may be our last trip there since we havent been included on the September or October calender. Just a reminder that we will also be playing on Sunday afternoon from 1:00-2:00 for the Annual Customer Appreciation Party. Bands will be playing all day and there will be free food, drink specials and giveaways all day. Justa Head will be adding new drummer Scott Fontaine to the lineup the begining of September. We had a great time this weekend at Cafe 27, and with the threat of rain all afternoon we still had a good crowd. Karina is doing a great job and fitting right in with the band. Her strong voice and stage presence has been a big plus for us and she's been working hard learning the material. We also want to give a big thanks to all our new friends out at Cafe 27 for being such a friendly group. Its always great meeting new people and after all the years of doing this i have never had people coming up to me before and after the gig and asking if we needed help moving equipment except at Cafe 27. Once again a big thanks and we will see you again in 2 weeks on August 12th. This weekend we are up in Royal Palm Beach at Connollys on Saturday Night only (August 4th). Always a great time there. Hope to See You. .. Peace!! ..... jojogunn Update 7/15/07 ... Just getting in from our afternoon gig at CAFE 27 where we had a great time with a great crowd. The rain held out all day for us and a great time was had by all. The next 2 weeks Harry and I will be taking some family vacation time and we will return to CAFE 27 on Sunday the 29th. Come on out and enjoy the Tiki Bar atmosphere with great food and a favorite stop for some of South Florida's bikers out riding on a Sunday afternoon. Hope to See You There. .. Peace!! ..... jojogunn Update 7/8/07 ... We want to thank Trish and friends for having us at Connolly's in Royal Palm Beach this weekend. We had a great time as always, and still the best chicken wings in town. Karina did a great job with all the new songs we've learned and we met alot of her friends over the weekend. A big thanks to everyone who came out to support the band. We will be back at Connolly's Sports Bar & Grill August 4th. This coming Friday at Cafe 27 has been cancelled but we will be there on Sunday afternoon. Its an outdoor Tiki Bar atmosphere with great food and a favorite stop for some of South Florida's bikers out riding on a Sunday afternoon. Hope to See You There. .. Peace!! ..... jojogunn Update 7/05/07 ... Hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable 4th!! Now for the long awaited updates... I received several emails asking about Brook, and just want to clear up a few things. Brook has recently been accepted into medical school and due to her busy schedule does not have the time to devote to the band. We love Brook but the BAND decided it was time for us to part ways. We wish her the best of luck and we will miss her. After many auditions we have found our new singer, Karina. We auditioned her on a Tues. night and brought her up to Good Times in Port St Lucie the following Fri. and Sat. where she did a great! She got many great compliments from our friends and fans at Good Times who were anxiously awaiting to hear Brook's replacement. Such a big voice for a little girl, and cute too. We are looking foward to working with Karina........ This weekend we will be rockin' Connolly's Sports Bar & Grill in Royal Palm Beach, always a great place to play. They were just voted The Best Sports Bar in The Palm Beaches and on the Treasure Coast by WPBF 25 A-List Competition - 2007. So stop in and check it out, and by the way, they have a great menu and the best chicken wings in town.... We have started work on the newly remodeled Justa Head web site and hope to have it up and running at the begining of August where we will introduce our new singer Karina and drummer Alex. Be looking for it. A quick update on drummer Scotty G. I spoke to him last week and he and Hope are doing great. Scott is working hard in physical therapy and coming along slowly after his stroke back in January. Keep up the hard work Scotty, we are all thinking about you....... As always, we had a great time this past weekend at Good Times in Port St. Lucie and we want to thank all our friends who come out to support the band. Great place to play and we are looking foward to coming back in July, and i strongly recommend the Teriyaki Chicken Wings on your next visit. We are off this coming weekend but head up to Port St Lucie on the 20th and 21st. to one of our favorite places to play, GOOD TIMES. We always have a great time there. Hope to see all our friends. Always a good party crowd, and what happens in Key Largo stays in Key Largo. Justa Head drummer Scotty G came down to hear the band with his fiance Hope. Scott is still recuperating from a stroke he suffered back in January. It was great to see Scott and Hope and we wish them the best in Scotts recovery. This weekend we are heading up to Royal Palm Beach to rock the house at Connollys Bar. Hope to see all our friends there. See You Soon. .. Peace!! ..... jojogunn Update 3/19/07 ... Well another great weekend at Good Times. After some minor sound problems at the start of Friday night, Justa Head rocked the house. We had a great crowd both Friday and Saturday night. Our good friend Dave Hlubeck from Molly Hatchet stopped in and jammed with the band on Saturday night which really got the crowd going. Dave is a great guy and we love having him jam with us. Look for some new pics of Dave and the band soon. Big thanks to all our friends in Port St. Lucie who come out and support the band. We love you guys. Theres always a great time at Good Times. We want to wish Ms Mary a big Happy Birthday this week, or is it in June. Ha Ha ..... We are off this coming weekend but head back down to Key Largo on Saturday, March 31st. This past weekend Justa Head played at the Cafe 27 Truckstop. Lots of motorcycles and a great time. Looks like we will be playing there twice a month starting in June or so. Great place to stop by while out riding your bike or just out taking a nice Sunday afternoon cruise. They have live bands on Friday night and Sunday afternoons and the food is great. Take Griffin Road west out to US Highway 27 and make a right. Cafe 27 is on the right side less than a 1/4 mile. We return to Port St. Lucie March 16th and 17th to play at Good Times. Some of you have been asking about Scott, our drummer. He suffered a stroke a few weeks back and is currently in a rehab facility. He faces alot of hard work ahead of him and our thoughts and prayers are with Scott and his fiancee Hope. We all wish Scott a full recovery. Rock On Dude!!!!!!!! This past weekend we rocked the house at Connollys Bar in Royal Palm Beach. They did a great job on the recent remodeling of the place, including a bigger stage and a new dance floor. Our good friend and former Justa Head member Joy, filled in for Brook this past weekend and did a great job. Big thanks out to Joy (eh fagetaboutit, like riding a bicycle). My daughter Melissa's wedding was November 11th., and my 6-8 year old Flag Football Team finished the season at 4-1-2 ... Since our last post, we played the Kick Off Party for the Boat Show at the Quarterdeck Restaurant, and what a party it was. With over 1000 people in attendance we ROCKED all night!!!! ..... thanks to all the great sponsors for taking good care of us. We also played at the Sauer Apple Saloon and last weekend we rocked Good Times in Port St. Lucie. We have a brand new sound system and it ROCKS!! We have been cancelled at the Sauer Apple Saloon this weekend but we're back to Port St. Lucie and Good Times the first weekend in December. Enough said. Well we are heading up to Port St Lucie this weekend to rock Good Times. Looking foward to seeing all our good friends there. We will be off the next few weeks. This weekends gig at the Sauer Apple Saloon, as well as the last weekend of the month, has been cancelled ... Evidently there was some confusion with the club owner on the dates. She has decided to go with The Rock Bottom Band. Check them out and let me know what you think. This past weekend we spent Saturday afternoon in the studio working on our new promo CD. Saturday night we had a great time in Key Largo at Gilberts Resort. Our next gig is September 22nd and 23rd in Port St. Lucie. Always a great time at Good Times!!!! .. This past weekend Justa Head rocked Good Times in Port St. Lucie, and what a weekend it was. The club had a great crowd both nights and Saturday night we had a chance to jam with Dave Hlubeck from Molly Hatchet. Click Daves photo below for some great photos. We also played a set on Sunday afternoon for the 2nd Annual Customer Appreciation Day. There was free food and great bands all day. If you get a chance check out Boss Groove, one of the hottest bands on the Treasure Coast. A big thanks to Kevin and Connie and all the staff at Good Times for putting on a great party, and thanks to Val and her family and friends for all their support while we're in Port St. Lucie.
